Burgundy Beef Strogonoff (Betsy Codier)

2 lbs round steak, 1/4 in strips
2 T butter
4 onions, chopped
1/4 c flour
1 c beef broth
1/2 c burgundy
3 T tomato paste
1/2 tsp thyme
3/4 c sour cream

Brown meat.  Add onions, and saute.  Remove from heat.  Stir in broth, wine, tomato, thyme.  Stir until thickened.  Cover and simmer until tender 40-45 minutes.  Add sour cream.
