Fruit and Yogurt Smoothie (Cusinart)
The taste of this took me back to memories of Orange Julius. Bit thick for drinking, though.
2 c pineapple chunks
1 cutup banana
1 c OJ
1 c yogurt
2 c strawberries
Egg Nog Grog (Kitchen Witchery)
6 eggs
1/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2c + 2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 c bourbon
1/3 c rum
Beat together eggs, sugar, salt. Stir in 2 c milk. Cook on low, stiring constantly. Heat until it is thick enough to coat spoon, approximately 160 degrees, remove from heat. Mix in the rest of the ingredients. Cover and refrigerate.
This stuff is fair potent. Utilize with caution.
Golden Milk Tea (Bhajan)
2 T turmeric
1/4 c water
1 c milk
1 tsp almond oil
honey (and cinnamon) to taste
Stir together turmeric and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, and allow to cook, stirring occasionally, until a thick paste is formed.
Use 1/2 to 1 tsp of the paste for each cup. Combine the paste, milk, oil, and honey in a saucepan and cook slowly, stirring, until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Whisk or blend. Drink.
This pretty consistently makes me feel better.
