{"id":3113,"date":"2014-04-10T10:34:20","date_gmt":"2014-04-10T17:34:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.ravenandcoyote.net\/?p=3113"},"modified":"2014-04-10T10:34:20","modified_gmt":"2014-04-10T17:34:20","slug":"yorkshire-puddinglets-cappers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.ravenandcoyote.net\/?p=3113","title":{"rendered":"Yorkshire Pudding(lets) (Cappers)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had been a bit leery of trying this, as we have our tried and true Rombauer&#8217;s recipe&#8230; \u00a0However, that one requires time in the fridge, and I was looking for something a touch faster. \u00a0I also really liked the idea of the making minipuds in muffin tins.<\/p>\n<p>It was a smashing success. \u00a0So tasty last night with our pork chops and brown sauce and wilted spinach and garlic&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 c some sort of fat (we used bacon grease because we had some, but we&#8217;ve used butter or roast drippings or&#8230;. \u00a0in past)<\/p>\n<p>2 eggs (home eggs continue to make everything better)<\/p>\n<p>1 c milk<\/p>\n<p>1 c flour<\/p>\n<p>2 tsp baking powder<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p>Heat oven to 425. \u00a0Put fat in either a 9 inch square pan or 6 muffin tins. \u00a0(We used 1-2 tsp per muffin tin, not sure how much we used, but pretty sure it was less than the 1\/4 c.) \u00a0Cook this for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Beat eggs. \u00a0Add milk. \u00a0Beat. \u00a0Add dry stuff. \u00a0Mix until smooth. \u00a0Pour into pan or tins. \u00a0(We got wonderfully overflowing muffin bits using six.)<\/p>\n<p>Bake 30-35 minutes. \u00a0Possibly a trifle less with a convection oven. \u00a0Turned out browner than I expect, but still really tasty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had been a bit leery of trying this, as we have our tried and true Rombauer&#8217;s recipe&#8230; \u00a0However, that one requires time in the fridge, and I was looking for something a touch faster. \u00a0I also really liked the idea of the making minipuds in muffin tins.
